How does a CAD injury occur?
A CAD injury occurs when your head and neck move forward and backward at a fast rate. That violent movement can lead to muscle and ligament damage. In some cases, discs, nerves and joints can be injured. Nerve damage, such as a pinched nerve, is possible when you suffer from a CAD injury.
What are the symptoms of a CAD injury?
With the damage to your neck, pain in the affected area is the most common symptom. Headaches, nausea and dizziness can also occur. Other injuries, such as TMJ, can also occur.
What are the treatments for a CAD injury?
CAD injuries are usually treated with a multifaceted approach. This might include medication treatments, range-of-motion exercises, physical therapy and chiropractic treatments. Pain relievers and anti-inflammatories are the most common medications used to treat CAD injuries. Maneuvers to strengthen and stretch the affected area are usually required.
A CAD injury can take considerable time to heal. This means that every aspect of your life might be altered to some extent because of the pain and limited motion. Still, your normal bills will continue to come in and new bills might start because of the effects of the injury. For that reason, you might choose to seek compensation for the injury.
